Every giant company has collectable merchandise — Corona has coolers, Coca-Cola has coozies, Hess has those little holiday trucks — but Heineken takes their branded merch very seriously: their long-running collaborative project #Heineken100, which is curated by Union Los Angeles’ Chris Gibbs, has seen Heineken-themed chukkas made by Mark McNairy and a KILLSPENCER backpack.
Now, the Dutch company has commissioned Shinsuke Takizawa of NEIGHBORHOOD to create a pair of indigo denim jeans, complete with green cross-stitching, custom green leather label, and carrying bag.
In the video below, Takizawa and Gibbs sit down to discuss denim, beer, and style in a four-minute-and-change conversation.
Unfortunately, #Heineken100 is coming to a close, but look for graffiti artist and designer Eric Haze to debut the last offering in the series at Art Basel Miami Beach next month.
