Agentry PR kicked off 2015 with New York Men’s Day, presented by Cadillac. This season, the bill of designers expanded to twelve unique talents who’ve presented their Fall-Winter 2015 collections simultaneously. On Wednesday, Agentry PR took over Industria Superstudios in NYC’s Meatpacking District and we had the pleasure of stopping by to experience what some of the latest and greatest menswear’s designers have in store for the remainder of the year.
We caught up with Trey Alligood, President and Designer at Gents, to learn about his FW15 collection.
“We started with baseball caps, but evolved into a fuller collection. We’re launching socks this season as well. Everything from the flat brim, to the curved, to the beanie, to the bomber – the whole gamut. As far as the apparel goes, we went for the really sporty athletic look – that’s our guy. We added some really cool elements with different fabrics to make it look a bit more fashionable than your average sporty pant. Lots of supper detail, panels, color blocking – the quilted pant is amazing. Metallics are huge right now, so we added a bit of metallic detail in the collection; like metallic brims on the hats. Our guy is sporty and athletic. he’s not a super dressed up guy all the time; he wants to relax or go to the gym and even if he wants to go to the gym, he wants to still be able to go somewhere else and be okay.”
