It’s hard to believe that in 146 years of Major League Baseball, only 23 perfect games have been pitched. For the uninitiated, a perfect game occurs when a pitcher faces 27 batters and none of them make it to base because they all strike out, fly out or are tagged out before getting to first base – reaching Hall of Fame status. New Era pays tribute to this rare achievement with ‘The Perfect Game’ collection, the latest release from within its Heritage Series. The collection honors five of those world-renowned players at the peak of their careers from the early 1980s to today. The collection launches online on February 12.
