With art and innovation as driving forces, Publish Brand has positioned itself as a pioneer in the realm of utilitarian menswear. Their collections include a vast range of pieces including: tees, denim, cut and sew and tees, all of which bear a timeless charm and serve as a casual nod to former eras of men’s fashion. As major fans of Publish Brand’s unique aesthetic, we are proud to have the opportunity to connect with them and learn about their accomplishments in 2014.

What was your brand’s most successful release this year?
The Legacy Collection was our largest sell through collection to date. The Legacy Jogger Pants originated from our perfected foundation of our classic cut and style. They have a reinforced thigh seam and saddle, which add durable details as well as athletic aesthetics. It also features 2×1 ribbed cuffs, 2% stretch cotton twill and the revolutionary DWR (durable water repellent) coat throughout. We are still getting high demands for the Legacy silhouette, so look out for the Legacy 2.0 releasing later this year!
What were your brand’s top collaborative releases?
We were blessed to do a collaboration with Vans OTW. It is a collaboration that we hold very dear to our heart because of our love for Vans. The release consisted of the Breton Boot which pulls styling cues from sportswear and menswear to present a premium execution of Vans’ deluxe silhouette. Outfitted in water resistant ballistic nylon and built atop a Vibram Cristy outsole, the boot seamlessly instills athletic and outdoor influences into its aesthetic. Hued in black from the bottom-up, the minimalist color-blocking bares a sharp contrast at the ankle as the embossed leather heel paneling and midsole clip are highlighted in stark white. above the heel panel, reflective 3M ankle strips are secured to ensure added visibility at night while neoprene collar construction and a full-length UltraCush HD footbed deliver a comfortable, all-day wear. we released a small collection to coincide with the released called “Lost Control.” Inspired by the post-punk movement of the ’80s, the selection highlights monochromatic color themes throughout the offerings. Both releases were success and we are looking forward to working with Vans again in the future.
What was your brand’s top limited edition releases?
Even though Publish Brand started off as a menswear line, surprisingly enough, our best release would be our first women’s jogger collection. The worldwide popularity of the men’s version has spawned into a new category for the previous primarily all-male based brand. Up until the release, we consistently received demands for smaller sizes and jogger pants made for women. After countless requests for them, we decided to listen to our fans and produce our very first women’s bottoms collections. We barely were able to keep them on the shelf on release day and realized that we had a demand within our market for more Publish garments made just for women. Publish Brand has plans to release 2 small bottoms collections in 2015, and will be release a full collection by Spring 2016! Men’s clothing tailored to a woman’s body, but with a twist. Keep an eye out for what we have in-store!
What was your best collaboration with an artist?
It would have to be with our dear friend, Benny Gold from San Francisco. He is widely known for his authentic and well-crafted graphic design. He has crated an in-house brand with a cult following like no other. The concept behind the collaboration is to create pieces that would translate in both climates of Los Angeles and San Francisco; birthplace of both brands, respectively. Benny Hold’s custom Fog Camo pattern was created to reflect the nature of San Francisco’s foggy climate. We took our contemporary styled clothing and added our spin with Benny Gold’s signature Fog Camo.
