After countless teasers and rumors, Nike has finally unveiled its Black History Month collection. Slated for a global release date on January 17th, the massive collection includes 28 pieces – 12 pairs of shoes and 16 pieces of apparel and accessories. Nike has taken this opportunity to honor the courage and determination of six particular athletes and coaches: Theotis Beasley, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jerry Rice, Brianna Rollins, C. Vivian Stringer and John Thompson. To maximize the impact of this collection, Nike will donate a portion of sales to the Ever Higher Fund which supports organizations that use sports to connect with and empower the underserved youth.
