Shawn Brauch, the founder and head designer of Pen & Pixel Graphics Incorporated, sat down with Noisey to discuss his highly influential role in dirty South rap during the late ’90s and early 2000s. It’s hard to believe that this “slick haired, Italian, white guy” helped craft infamously over-the-top album covers for Master P, Juvenile, and Three 6 Mafia, invented the term “bling bling” over the phone with B.G, and frequently bailed his clients out of jail to demand his money — but Shawn Brauch did all that and more.
As proud enthusiasts of the first two Hot Boys albums, and of course 400 degreez, we’re not afraid to say that this documentary touched us. Hit play above.
