Here is an exciting new collection from adidas Originals and Japanese sneaker boutique, MITA Sneakers. Featuring three iconic silhouettes, the Superstar, the Campus and the Tobacco, each treated with minimal effects to provide the desired look.
Expanding its lineup with the 2014 CLA class, Mercedes-Benz ha unveiled a new four-door coupe at the that takes design cues from the CLS. Offering 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque from its 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, the CLA claims to be the most aerodynamic series production
car with a drag coefficient of 0.23 – compared to that of the Tesla Model S which has a 0.24 drag coefficient. In addition, the 4MATIC all-wheel drive, frame-less doors and ‘collision prevention assist’ the four-door
coupe integrates a radar-based braking system capable of warning users of obstacles and to anticipate braking
force when the driver steps on the brake pedal.
Chris Gibbs of Union recruits an old friend, Erik Ian, to shoot The Union Editorial monthly series for January 2013. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have added a sporting touch to their collection this season, while still keeping the couture spirit alive with these low-cut camouflage pattern sneakers. Camo is a centre point of Valentino’s collection for SS13 and these low profile sneakers pull it off well, with contrasting paneling in leather and suede. Mercedes-Benz presents this short video starring its recently-debuted CLA 4-door coupe and model Karlie Kloss, shot by Ryan McGinley. What starts out as a fairly run-of-the-mill aerial shot of the car driving through hilly territory quickly takes a turn as we see Karlie literally taken for a ride. As for the car, many of the new CLA’s features revolve around entertainment and include the mbrace2 cloud-based infotainment system displayed on a 5.8-inch screen as well as the option of a hard drive-based navigation system. There is also voice control, 10GB of music storage, an SD card slot, iPod connector, six-disc CD/DVD changer, and a rearview camera.
These stunning images arrive as a first look at Boris Bidjan Saberi’s new street-infused line, “11″. Devised as a conceptual functional streetwear range, “11″ focuses on practicality and durability by drawing on silhouettes and shapes of the designer’s mainline but translating them into cutting-edge urban designs for everyday wear. Each “11″ collection will be made up of 11 garments and 11 accessories, and while Saberi is known for his affinity for unusual and avant-garde materials, this line will make use of materials like rough denim, jerseys, heavy canvas and technical fabrics. In addition to “11″ Saberi also reveals a new collaboration with German-based technical accessories label ORTLIEB.
New Balance have released this vibrant pack featuring three versions of their 996 silhouette. The vivid colors used – Purple, Green, and Royal Blue - are somewhat of a rarity from NB, who usually favor a more subdued palette. The Made in USA sneakers are constructed from a rich and buttery soft suede and tonal mesh with dark grey accents on each. Each sneaker also boasts white laces and a 3M ‘N’ logo on the side. The sneakers are available for pre-order now from Features.
New York luggage label Coach have teamed up with KRINK for a new series of leather bags and accessories, with KR’s signature splatter applied to all. The Spring/Summer 2013 collection includes iPad cases, totes, wallets, portfolios and luggage tags in a variety of colors. The collection will be available to purchase from select Coach outlets between February and June, 2013.

The “Day Tripper” Made in USA model possesses all the premium quality NB is known for, with a light grey suede upper which features navy accents along with hints of red. Brian Donelly – known to most as the artist KAWS – has announced via his Facebook page that he will be bringing his brand OriginalFake to an end, closing the shop and the company. This statement from the artist:
May 2013 marks the seventh year anniversary of OriginalFake, and it is at this time that Medicom Toy and I have chosen to close the shop and company. It’s been an amazing opportunity to work with Medicom Toy on this project as well as working with Masamichi Katayama of Wonder Wall to create the interior of the shop and Konno of Nexus7 who’s incredible talent really added sophistication to the clothing that we produced. I really want to thank the staff in production as well as in our shop. If you ever entered our shop you already know how awesome they are! Stone Island’s SS13 collection introduces several new styles to the brand’s line-up of technical gear, as well as featuring updated familiar favourites. As always, the focus is on outerwear although this season there are several pairs of trousers and jeans that stand out, as well as casual footwear and accessories. As clean and streamlined as any sneaker I’ve seen in the last year, adidas presents its latest offering, the Torsion Allegra X, in a Running White/True Blue/Black colorway. A mesh tongue, leather side paneling, black suede details and royal blue accents make this pair of sneakers a must-cop. And for those who are into must-cops, cop from Overkill.
Black Scale doesn’t stray too far from its bold + mysterious = hype formula with the release of a new lookbook to support its “Silence is Illegal” Capsule Collection. The capsule consists of a range of caps and tops, presented in black and white. Stay tuned for release info.
Raf Simons’ Fall/Winter 2013 collection at Paris Fashion Week was, at its base, all about geometry. That, and looking like you’d just woken up next to your fondue set after a long night consuming red wine and Alan Ayckbourn. Line accentuates line and silhouettes are loose but remain elongated. Vibrant dashes of color combined with bold blocking and prints ensure that this collection remains forward thinking, while horizontal bars at the chest are a unique touch which add a modern element to a collection which is otherwise heavy on the ’70s influences. An old Nike favourite is given a makeover this January, resulting in the Lunar Montreal+. The classic running silhouette is updated with a Lunarlon outer sole affording maximum comfort to its wearer. Two colorway variants will be released, both playing with hues of green – from fresh apple shades to an emerald/teal option. No release info as of yet but we will keep you posted.
The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2013 Collection makes for compelling viewing. Kim Jones applies himself with great distinction by balancing played down and bold patterns and colors, while the majority of the collection is refined and sophisticated, the addition of work inspired boots, oversized wool hats, and large down coats provide a more relaxed appeal.
James designer Yohji Yamamoto continues to thrive of his relaxed sense of tailoring which has been the cornerstone of his work for decades now. The Yohji Yamamoto Fall/Winter 2013 Collection explores some bold patterns, loose knitwear, layering, all with the usual astute approach Yamamoto is known for.
