As a retailer that carries both brands, Oi Polloi recently initiated and documented a chat between Daiki Suzuki, head designer at Engineered Garments and Shinya Hasegawa, founder and designer of Battenwear, for the latest issue of the store’s in-house magazine, Pica-Post ‘zine. With both designers sharing an interest in Americana, there are parallels to be drawn between the two, particularly as Suzuki and Hasegawa previously worked together at Woolrich Woolen Mills. The folk at Oi Polloi also shot a great editorial (above) featuring pieces from both brands, modeled by the Nepenthes NYC team. Check out the full feature over here.
