Best known for their knits, the house of Missoni displayed its ability to look beyond its staple offering in its FW13 presentation in Milan. A predominantly neutral color palette adorned a smart-casual collection that was undeniably a resounding success at its presentation, prompting a prolonged standing ovation; both in recognition of the collection itself but also out of respect for Vittorio Missoni, who has been missing since his plane crashed in Venezuelan waters on January 4th. Although not the sole focal point of the season, knits were in fact also a highlight, and are explored in new ways in this collection. (via style.com)
