The Air Jordan XX debuted in 2005 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s debut in the NBA. Designers Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith requested that MJ share some bits about his illustrious career, and his overflowing stream of memories translated into the groundbreaking laser print we’ve grown to love. The shoe itself was inspired by motorcycle tires and cycling shoes, but the laser etching depicts several icons near-and-dear to Michael. Nike is reviving the AJXX in celebration of Michael Jordan’s 30th anniversary and this white-on-white colorway is something serious.
