A study in balance –- of tradition and contemporary, casual sportswear and tailoring — underpins the adidas Originals by NEIGHBORHOOD SS15 range. Fusing NEIGHBORHOOD’S signature dark aesthetic (which often references motorcycle style), with adidas Originals’ sportswear heritage, the result is a collection of items that play with the Originals archive while claiming their own detailed identity. Key pieces for SS15 include the NH Mountain Parka which features 3-stripes, reminiscent of a vintage adidas jersey created in West Germany in the ‘80s, and referred to by in-circles as the ‘skeleton jersey’ due to the placement of the stripes which create a bonelike formation. As for footwear, we’ve got our eye on the NH Boston Super OG with its all-black Nubuck leather upper, accented with striking white triangle details on the outsole and collaboration branding on the tongue. Additional footwear offerings include the Pro-model, Campus 80s Mid, ZX 500 OG, Tournament and Adilette, all receiving special NEIGHBORHOOD treatment in black, gold, grey and marine blue; hues that are echoed throughout the entire collection.
