Urban Nation has put together the latest exhibition hosting both established artists and emerging ones alike, who specialize in stencil art. As an art form that originated in the eighties, stencil art has become increasingly popular, enabling artists to quickly tag-and-go. Around the world, the stencil became a not only a popular art medium, but a political tool. Also, with the widespread emergence in popularity of social media, messages are able to spread like wildfire and an artist’s story can be shared, instantly, across the globe. Olly Walker and Henrik Haven were invited by Urban Nation Director, Yasha Young, to curate a show in Berlin as a part of Urban Nation’s ingoing educational series about art in the urban space.
Cut It Out! features works from: Above, adam 5100, Aiko, B-Toy, Canvaz, Eelus, Kurar, STF and XooooX in addition to many others. Have a look at what the exhibition has to offer in the gallery above.
