Bringing back what many see as an unnecessary twist to the Superstar, Yohji Yamamoto‘s diffusion line, Y’s, re-introduces the Super Position to the adidas Consortium lineup. That initial observation isn’t a completely negative one however, as the model has certainly got it together in the looks department. A premium construction – including suede lace stays, leather lining and a smooth leather toe box – conspire to create an upscale package, highlighted by the string tassels that round out a very interesting way to convey adidas’ three stripes. Available in black and white, have fun trying to avoid treading on your own footwear when the Super Position hits stores in the coming weeks.
