Jeff Staple is a product of New York City’s counter-culture and it should be no surprise that his artistry reflects that. From studying at the illustrious Parsons School of Design, to establishing Reed Space, one of the Lower East Side’s most premier boutiques, Jeff Staple has amassed the necessary tools and skill set to cater to the rapidly growing street wear circuit and sneaker community alike. We had the pleasure of connecting with the Staple brand to learn about their biggest feats in 2014.
What was your brand’s most successful release in 2014?
Definitely our collab collection with the amazing artist, Naturel. Ended the year with a bang! People were fiending for these pieces!
What were your brand’s top collaborative releases in 2014?
I’d have to say our collaboration with Shake Shack. I’m always trying to break the mold. And I don’t think anyone has done that before. And a close second would have to be the Reed Space + PacSun collaboration – the likes of which will sew the seeds for future brands tomorrow. Who knows what will happen?
What was your brand’s top limited edition releases in 2014?
On the limited tip, definitely most proud of our collaboration with Porter Japan – a 3-piece bag collection.
What was your best collaboration with an artist in 2014?
Gotta say Vince Staples. I respect this kid’s music so much. It was an honor to do a collab with him.
