Woolrich John Rich and Bros. is celebrating its 185th anniversary this year and chose to commemorate with a special Fall-Winter collection which takes on three distinct themes. The “Authentic Collection” features pieces made from original American wools from Woolrich’s Pennsylvania mill. Many iconic silhouettes are highlighted, including: the Railroad Vest, Hunting Jacket and Arctic Parka. The “Teton Collection” is a premium, outdoor range which highlights performance and protection from the elements. Pieces are made from lightweight, laminated nylon, Polartec, 620-fill duck-down, with coyote-fur trimmings. The “Contemporary Collection” sees many of Woolrich’s heritage pieces updated with lightweight fabrics and performance materials, in addition to a “Made in Italy” knitwear line which has more than fifty cashmere and wool items. As a take on the current “athleisure” trend, this collection also yields standout pieces like felted-wool blazers and fleece chinos which have been done up in tech fabrics, stretch-twills and wool.
