Teyana Taylor is a rising music star who quickly carved out a unique niche for herself in the industry. With a body like hers, she probably could have made a name for herself anywhere.
The life of a teenager growing up in the face of the media is pretty intense. Many of our favorite teen stars have succumbed to the pressures of maintaining a healthy work/life balance (drugs and alcohol have consumed so many), and seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth. Conversely, there are select stars who have matured with their fans – growing with time, and blossoming into young adults who are well connected and respected. Teyana Taylor is one of the latter — she’s grown from a cute teen into one of the most beautiful, talented and dangerously curvy ladies dominating fashion and music today. This week’s SlamXXX bombshell has been in the limelight for her entire career and shows no signs of fading away.

Taylor penetrated music and fashion scenes in 2007, when MTV aired her star-studded episode of “My Super Sweet 16.” Just before the airing, Teyana signed to Pharrell Williams‘ Star Trak label through Interscope, and this Harlemite quickly introduced herself to the world as a very unique girl from uptown. Being Pharrell’s protege, Teyana was known as ‘that’ girl – draped in the coolest Bape, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream gear on the market. Her visual aesthetic isn’t all she wanted to put on the table, though. In 2008, Teyana connected with Jazze Pha on her breakout smash “Google Me” and proved that there was an innate talent ready to be showcased.
After a falling out with Star Trak, Teyna kept herself relevant with the boom of social media, covering songs on Youtube. But she made much more of her own waves in the music realm when Kanye West signed her to his G.O.O.D. Music imprint in 2012. It was around this time that ‘ye invited her to his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy recording sessions, and got blown away by her voice. He had Teyana lay vocals on several cuts from this groundbreaking album, in addition to G.O.O.D. Music’s subsequent release, Cruel Summer.
