‘A Concrete Toy’ is the revisiting of a piece, originally carved from wood, and created by artist Boris Tellegen in 2005. This newer version is certainly a play on the word “toy”, and we would definitely frown upon you if you handed this to your newborn. In the graffiti scene, “toy” obviously takes on a different connotation, and Tellegen’s stylization of the letters D-E-L-T-A (his graff name) form this sculpture.
Limited to just 32 pieces, it’s available today, and comes encased in a screen printed wooden box. Included with the packaging is a certificate of authenticity, and each sculpture is numbered and signed by Boris, adding to the exclusivity.
