Prepare yourselves for a weekend of chaos in SoHo. Palace Skateboards and adidas Originals have connected to create a crazy, 22-piece capsule collection. The head of Palace, Lev Tanju is responsible for the brand’s lo-fi, ’90s inspired vibe; and for him, linking up with adidas Originals is a farfetched collaboration, to say the least. When asked of the partnership, Tanju responded with, “They wanted us to do it. We’re not trained designers. Designing is not us sitting down and drawing it. We find shapes we like, then change things and take from other things. We like weird stuff…”
The entire collection is filled with many of the technical pieces that adidas is loved for, but Palace has jumped in and repurposed things – like distorting the 3-Stripes, and reviving the quintessential color-blocked tracksuit. The collection is pretty sick and we fully stand behind it.
Make your way to the gallery above to get a glimpse of the gear. Everything will be available on September 27th and 28th, exclusively at the ‘Pop-Off Shop’ on 201 Mulberry Street in SoHo, NYC.
