Richer Poorer and PF Flyers connect once again, to make some socks ‘wampum-inspired’ socks meant to accompany PF’s waterproof ‘Hi Pres Shower Boot’. Originating with the Wampanoag tribe of New England, wampum were traditional beads fashioned from local shell creatures, and strung into jewelry. They were used as currency, and also woven into belts to communicate various messages amongst the tribe (the first high-end accessory?).
We’re hyped on this collaboration because it celebrates PF Flyers’ history in waterproof footwear, and their Northeastern ties. Check out the socks in the gallery above, and head over to the Richer Poorer webshop on September 22nd to purchase.
