Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit cinema screens on December 18, 2015, and guess what? They’re releasing a capsule collection in anticipation of the film’s release. It should come as no surprise, really, that every film these days ties in a product that draws on the streetwear or skate cultures that are currently hitting the right notes in trend-land. However, this Star Wars X Santa Cruz Skateboards capsule is one of the few releases that actually turned out well. Of course, there have been plenty of great Star Wars collabs in the past (Vans and adidas Originals both get our vote), so it’s no shock that the sci-fi franchise made good with this one too.
Here, we have a first look at a series of decks produced by the partnership — a nice mix of classic and gnarly shapes.
