After an unprecedented couple of years of hype, all has been fairly quiet on the Odd Future front so far in 2014. This week however, MC/producer combo Hodgy Beats & Left Brain (MellowHype) have dropped a new album – the added bonus being that it’s 100% free for fans to download. Although OF do their best to live up to the wild reputation they’ve established over the past few years, MellowHype has always maintained a more considered approach to their music, which has resulted in the sort of critical acclaim that perhaps only Earl and Domo Genesis have also achieved on a core scale within the group.
