In the Game of Love, everybody has taken an L at one time or another. After that happens, you can either eat that loss and walk off the court with your tail between your legs or you can get your emo on in the opposing team’s locker room and beg for a rematch. Robin Thicke (who just lost his wife, Paula Patton, thanks to some unsanctioned masseuse sex) chose the latter and try to get his lost lover back.
He’s released a new music video called… drum roll please… “Get Her Back” in which he gets out the kneepads to beg for forgiveness. And thought it’s unclear why he thought releasing a video in which another woman (a Paula Patton look-a-like) sensuously rubs him down would make his ex take him back, it’s a tender move from the man you brought you the absurd tender-less-ness of “Blurred Lines”.
This isn’t the first time this has happened in the history of man or music. In this week’s SlamXSounds, we chronicle a few other times where songwriters use the medium of music to get next to their ex.
Check out the playlist and save it for a rainy day if you plan on effing up in the near future.
