You know the old saying, “fashion is cyclical”. Well, there’s a long list of early ’00s fashion trends that have long since taken their rightful place in the pantheon of dead fashion: trucker hats and headbands, white belts, guys in boy bands with “accidentally” undone skinny ties over white button downs and everything that Avril Lavigne wore.
But there’s one thing we’ve being wondering: why did those Looney Tunes Lot 29 tees and jeans ever exist? Why did guys who wanted to be taken seriously or thought of as tough (here’s looking at you Cassidy and Cam’ron) rock them at all? Because they made them look like seven-year-old girls. Fashion is perplexing, but for that question we have absolutely no answer.
And here’s another: If fashion is, in fact, cyclical, who’s going to bring Looney Tunes graphic tees back? Ian Connor? Pharrell? Some other fashion icon we don’t even know yet? Half our team hopes the answer is no one, but the other half wants to see it happen, mostly because whoever can actually pull that off is a fashion god. What do you think? Are you up to the task?
