Every Eminem fans remembers the dark ages between Encore and Relapse/Recovery, roughly 2003 and again in 2008-2009, when Mr. Mathers was deep into his drug abusing phase and wrote laughably lazy raps like “Ooh wow, boo that pow, ooh ow, I need a cigarette now/ Ow, I’m so f*ckin’ hot and you’re so f*ckin’ hot/ Oh my God, I wanna fackin’ fack” on “Fack”. But his drug-induced insanity also spilled over into a set of Nike Air Max designs that he did for a charity auction in 2006.
The collaboration consisted of eight shoes, all limited to eight pairs and auctioned off via eBay to benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation. Yeah, they were done for charity, so it’s hard to hate, but they were some of the most hideous shoe designs ever. It also doesn’t help that the only pictures that still exist of them look like they were shot in some sex dungeon somewhere, and they’re as terrible as the music that Eminem was making at the time.
Click through the gallery above and be thankful that Eminem is off drugs and actually doing quality collaborations again like his recent Detroit-themed G-Shock watch.
