Exploring the effect of music on the New York underground and the skateboarders, artists, and creatives that it fosters, Asphalt Yacht Club’s Summer ’14 collection is envisioned through an eclectic lens of youth culture. Working with a diverse range of creatives – from legendary New York street photographer Sue Kwon to San Francisco rock poster legend Alan Forbes, (both of whom contributed artwork to the collection itself) – the SS14 lookbook takes us from New York to Chicago to Long Beach, emphasizing a day-in-the-life approach to storytelling. Featuring the likes of AYC Founder Stevie Williams, 106 & Park’s Bow Wow, team member Riley Hawk and more, it’s all about original thinking, distinct personalities, and the common bonds we all share.
