When it comes to documenting men’s fashion trends, no one does it better than Tommy Ton. For the past few odd years, he’s been capturing men doing something men didn’t (and basically were’t allowed to) do back in the early ’00s: wearing a million bracelets.
It seemed for a while that the more bracelets you wore, the more stylish your outfit. It didn’t matter that the trend bore an uncomfortable resemblance to the armfuls of Silly Bands that teenage girls were rocking, because, hey, #fashion is #fashion and #trends are #trends.
But now that the snows are gone and spring accessorizing has begun again, there seems to be a return to simplicity i.e. bare wrists. Once again, a single, solitary watch is all a man needs on his arm and the bangles of yesteryears have been once again cast into the abyss of fashion don’ts.
