With news that Adam Driver (the dude with the deep voice who from some reason has sex with Lena Dunham‘s character) from HBO’s Girls has beaten out Michael Fassbender to play the villain in Star Wars Episode VII, I’ve been thinking about how many of our favorite hip hop stars are perfectly suited for the Star Wars franchise. In fact, based on some of the uncanny similarities in the below images, I wouldn’t be surprised if the hip hop industry directly took their sartorial inspiration from the classic George Lucas series.

Let’s review:

Azaelia Banks/Princess Lea

Azaelia Banks could totally keep up with Princess Lea’s many different braided hairstyles.

2 Chainz/Jar Jar Binks 

There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that Jar Jar Binks would be a killer hype man.

Eminem/Darth Maul

They can both pass for skinheads.

Rick Ross/Jabba the Hutt

Large and in charge.

Kanye West/A Storm Trooper

They both have white Margiela Masks.

Kanye West/Bobo Fet

They both have green Margiela Masks.

Kanye West/Darth Vader

Okay you get it, Kanye is basically any masked Star War’s character.

Earl Sweatshirt/Admiral Ackbar

Ummmm…. Am I wrong?

Macklemore/C3P0

Both robots. Both yellow. Both white.

Miley Cyrus/Salacious B Crumb 

Salacious B. Crumb (AKA Jabba the Hutt’s weird, ferret-like sidekick) would actually be a great rap name. Any takers?
