Pharrell‘s vintage Vivienne Westwood hat was such a huge hit at the Grammys that the memes it spawned basically broke the Internet (Pharrell gained over 431,000 new Facebook fans and Twitter followers as a result and rose from 37 to 18 on Billboard‘s Social 50 Chart, an index of musicians’ relative social media fame).
So, for his performance at the NBA All-Star Game over the weekend, the Neptunes general decided to bust out yet another piece from his Westwood collection, this time donning a bright red version of the now-famous tremendous cap for his performance of his Oscar-nominated cut “Happy.”
If his Grammy hat made him look like a Mountie/the Arby’s logo, this new one transformed him into something out of that crappy Joaquin Phoenix movie Ladder 49 or that slightly less crappy slightly less crappy Denis Leary show Rescue Me… a firefighter.
So, for this week’s SlamXGarb, a weekly curated outfit perfect for every different occasion, here’s how you can take Pharrell’s streetwear firefighter to the next level.
