When Renzo Rosso, Diesel’s founder, gave Nicola Formichetti free-reign over everything Diesel last year, everyone knew he was going to do something wild with the 38-year-old label.
Now we know what the designer, Lady Gaga Meat Dress stylist, and all-things-tech enthusiast has in store: he’s following up his denim-centric #Diesel Tribute November capsule with another collection featuring twenty-pieces of apparel and accessories that look like something out of a leather orgy. The stand-out? A hand-stitched patchwork leather bomber and matching pants (see photo 3 in gallery above).
He’s enlisted Nick Knight to shoot the lookbook, which he did entirely on his iPhone — because #technology.
Diesel Tribute Leather Capsule tides the imprint over until Formichetti’s debut Diesel runway show, for which he’s also rewriting rules: he’s decided to hold AFTER fashion month in Venice on April 3rd.
