14 oz. opened its second Berlin store at the historical building “Haus Cumberland” at Kurfürstendamm last week, with large scale celebrations to mark the occasion. The opening celebration resembled a revival; 14 oz. celebrated in four traditional Ku’damm locations: the celebration started at the store; from 2 p.m. the “Haus Cumberland” at Kurfürstendamm 193-194 was the linchpin of the who-is-who of the international textile industry, distinguished guests from Berlin’s world of politics, business and society, fashion lovers and rubbernecks. The famous “Currywurst”, hamburgers and shashlik with chips and mayonnaise were served to those who were hungry just around the corner at the legendary “Curry 195″. No less shrouded in legend was the party location which opened its doors as of 10 p.m.: Berlin’s “Big Eden” which was reactivated for this special purpose and furnished with all that is necessary to make a successful party night. A great party was celebrated up to the small hours of the morning and if that was still not enough Irina served a nightcap at her “King’s Pub”, the oldest still existing original Ku’damm pub.
