All car keys are the same, right? Not if you’re BMW and you create a HD LCD display car key for your 2015 i8 plug-in hybrid sports coupe that displays the charge left in the car, the current capable range, when it was charged last, and uhhhh whether it’s locked or not.
The whole contraption comes complete with tactile buttons that maintain the feel of a more traditional key, Bluetooth Low Energy to keep the thing’s battery pumped, and a storage port right above the gearshift below the dashboard.
