With a theme like Halloween it is so easy to do too much, but this small run from Converse and San Francisco-based retailer ShoeBiz makes for a great release. With 100% of the profits going to Youth Against Poverty and Compass Family Services, two organizations that specialize in helping homeless, drug-free and working families in San Francisco. Working together with Alán González and Kris Mestizo to come up with two renditions of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star, the González design features what a kid would expect if he ordered “X-Ray glasses,” while the Mestizo piece features a design derived from a mummy costume.
The Converse x ShoeBiz Chuck Taylor Halloween Collection will be available from October 26 at ShoeBiz locations across San Francisco and online.
