Ronnie Fieg‘s Kith NYC is a mecca for sneaker heads everywhere, but running his shoepire (shoe empire) is only part of how Ronnie spends his time: he’s also established himself as a premier sneaker designer, dropping consistently killer collaborations with ASICS, New Balance, Del Toro, and more.
In honor of Ronnie’s fruitful 2013, check out SlamXHype’s rundown his best shoes below. Then, head to Kith NYC’s webstore to make these pieces of shoe art yours.
ASICS Gel Lyte V “Volcano”
In October, Ronnie partnered with ASICS on an archival running shoe, the Gel Lyte V, dropping a lava-flavored kick aptly named the “Volcano”.
ASICS Gel Lyte III “New York”
Though not officially a Knicks release, the ASICS Gel Lyte II from Ronnie’s Springtime “East Coast Project” was the kind of shoe Spike Lee fantasizes about.
ASICS Gel Lyte III “Miami Beach”
Part two of the “East Coast Project” came in a Miami Dolphins-inspired colorway that was bright, vibrant, and flashy.
Sebago Schooner “Camo”
Ronnie dropped his Spring/Summer Sebago collaboration for classic American footwear aficionados in the form of a moccasin Schooner, with the typical Docksides sole being replaced with the cleaner Campsides design.
Ronnie Fieg x ASICS GT-II “High Risk”
A purple pigskin suede toe and smooth leather heel made for a slickly out-of-the-box neon-accented ASICS design this past February.
Grenson Duck Boot
Back in January, Ronnie to the classic black and red colorway to the British heritage makers Grenson X Fred & Spike‘s manly silhouettes.
ASICS Gel Lyte III “Flamingo”
Unicorns are the animals that symbolize rarity, but the ”Flamingo” ASICS Gel Lyte III’s that Ronnie dropped in August are destined to go down in sneaker lore — and the sneaker resale market — as an illusive, all-but-impossible piece to get your hands on.
New Balance 1600 “Daytona”
The most retro of RF’s 2013 releases, The New Balance 1600 “Daytona” brought three different materials — tan luggage hide, white nubuck, and navy pigskin — to the late 2013 throwback sneaker.
Sebago Iroqouis Lux
The closing of Fall 2013 found RF and Sebago going half on a black-on-black nubuck upper, leather-lined Iroquois Lux. The removable tasseled fringe collar completed the package.
Yuketen Snake Penny Loafer
Just as Summer went silently into the night, Ronnie and Yuketen ushered in Fall with their snakeskin penny loafer – something classic, in a flashy, very modern design.
Del Toro Alto “Camo”
RF brought a bubble camo print to his September Del Toro collaboration, completing the Chukka boot with black leather binding, calfskin lining and gold RIRI heel zippers.
ASICS Gel Lyte V “Cove”(?)
Back in 2010, Fieg’s Gel Lyte III “The Cove” ASICS collaboration brought him to the forefront of the sneaker world. Then, in November, Ronnie was spotted in a pair of ASICS Gel Lyte V’s in a similar sky blue colorway. Speculation abounds as to whether those were a 1-of-1 piece from his personal collection or they were destined to be released… 2014 will tell.
Sebago Thomas Boot “Forest”
Military and native American designs came together for RF’s Sebago Thomas Boot in “Forest”, which arrived in the same delivery as the Iroqouis Lux.
