Though Palladium‘s boots are made to resist water — the company brought it’s aircraft tire designs to the footwear game post WWII – but Major Lazer and Los Angeles dance company The Underground Street Chronicles are using their Fall/Winter 2013 collection to repel a different kind of liquid: neon paint.
For Majahhhhh Lazahhhhh’s new Ryan Staake-directed music video “Sweat”, the EDM duo have decked their dancers in a whole slew of Palladiums, and turned them loose in a forest of black lights. If the wild dance moves don’t peak your interest, the boots will.
The video features the Pallabrouse Baggy with stone-distressed canvas and an enzyme-wash finish, and the waterproof Pampa Sport Cuff WP2 in four variations, all featuring waterproof ballistic nylon complete with leather upper detailing. The whole set plays on Palladium’s signature rubber toe cap, military silhouettes, and made-to-last heel cups and EVA sockliners.
