Saucony-FP-OIS-Shadow-6000-6-800x532 Footpatrol’s first collaboration for 2013 pays homage to the store’s home of Soho. Starting off as an in-house expression, “Only in Soho” was a reaction to the vibrant area, a locale that is home to sex shops, elaborate night life and the flamboyant film industry. The phrase has since become a household slogan, and presented with Saucony’s brief to take inspiration from their area, the store decided to incorporate it into their latest collaboration. The result is the Footpatrol x Saucony ‘Only in Soho’ Shadow 6000. A bright blue and royal suede-wrapped toe-box continues tonally throughout the shoe and heel, representing the plethora of bright neon lights that flood Soho’s streets and alleyways. Red 3M pops on the lateral side & heel are a nod to the ‘other’ red lights which illuminate various windows once night falls. The dark upper symbolises the underbelly of Soho. The sneaker is finished off with a mash-up of the Saucony Originals and the Footpatrol gas mask logos on the tongue label. The Footpatrol x Saucony ‘Only in Soho’ Shadow 6000 will be released in-store and online this Friday.
