French photographer and graphic designer, Romain Jacquet-Lagreze, shot these mind-bending photos of Hong Kong’s cityscapes, focusing on the high rise environment that makes the metropolis unique. Starting at the bottom, literally, Jacquet-Lagreze shoots with his lens pointed skyward, creating a tunnel vision of sorts between the surrounding skyscrapers. The photographs have been collectively published as Vertical Horizon, a hard-cover book containing hundreds of these images. To coincide with the book’s launch, an exhibition of Jacquet-Lagreze’s work is currently on display at AVA, inside Hong Kong’s Panorama Hotel. Vertical Horizon is available to order here.
