On Wednesday, the Tribeca Film Festival will open with “Mistaken for Strangers,” a documentary surround the touring life of The National through the eyes of frontman Matt’s brother, Tom Berninger. In what Tom calls a “self-mockumentary,” the film is surprisingly lighthearted for such a ‘serious’ band like The National, and is just about Tom’s journey as it is a behind-the-scenes look of a heavily touring band. The National’s new album, Trouble Will Find Me, will be out May 21st.
