The talented Barry McGee is preparing to open a new exhibition at the ICA Boston with a body of works entitled “Drawing from the Street” opening this weekend, April 6. Having just shown his work at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in Texas, this new project further emphasises McGee’s highly regarded graffiti-influenced style of work. Intended to be a documentation of his work to date, including the unveiling of previously unreleased early work; a tower installation of video pieces; a 3-D cluster of drawings, paintings, and photographs; and more this makes for an encompassing body of works. As a preview for the exhibition a catalogue of McGee’s work has been published and is available from the ICA Store.
