Documentary: 3D Printed Semiautomatic Weapons

3D printing seems to be everywhere these days. From dresses to pieces of art, it seems we can print anything we can think of. Which is why it wasn’t so surprising when Cody R. Wilson, a 25-year-old University of Texas law student, started building semiautomatic weapons using a 3D printer. Using a Stratasys 3D printer, Wilson was able to produce working guns. Stratasys subsequently repossessed the printer from Wilson. Watch the Vice documentary above about the process of 3D printing guns.
