It is with a somber heart that we announce the passing of celebrated American author, playwright, and novelist, Gore Vidal, at the age of 86. Most noted for his outspoken nature and distain for much of popular culture he became one of the first major American artists to bring to light homosexuality in his writings, a topic many of his time considered blasphemy. Described as a proud political and literary troublemaker, throughout his career Gore’s nonconformist mentality lead him to live a life of the social elite despite his profile as a wordsmith. The present day world will surely miss one of Americas great creatives, and social deviant minds.
