Conceptualized by designer Michael Schmidt, the dress is created using layered nylon powder put together by a digital rendering. The dress consists of three thousand articulated joints, which were then topped off by hand with twelve thousand Swarovski black crystals. In her usual style, Dita proves once again to be the ultimate pin up, flaunting the capabilities of the growing 3D printing industry. With 3D printers becoming easier to produce and use, we’re not surprised at the potential of more printed fashion to come.
