"Take My Picture" - A Film on Street Style Photography Garage Magazine has produced a short film which focuses on the fairly recent phenomenon of street style photography, the ‘stars’ of the street and the fashion bloggers who photograph them. In conversation with a number of talking heads, including renowned fashion writer Tim Blanks, the film charts the changing trends in fashion photography, the dominant style of today and how this works to portray its subjects. Garage comment on the timely footage: “As we started to review the footage, two salient trends became apparent: fashion editors frustrated by the ensuing commotion outside of shows, and the rise of “peacocking” street style stars as a result of the proliferation of blogs. This film examines these themes from both perspectives.” Check out the film above.
